Plain terms for a free app. Last updated 2026.
The compiled PurgeCore application is free to download and use, for personal and professional purposes, as published in the official GitHub Releases. There's no subscription, no premium tier, and no feature locked behind a paywall.
The source code is publicly viewable on GitHub, but that's not the same as a license to use it. All rights to the source code, design, and assets are reserved by Jeremy Jury. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, repackage, or create derivative works from the source code without prior written permission. Redistributing the compiled application unmodified is fine, see the full license for exact terms.
PurgeCore is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. It's currently in beta, meaning it hasn't had wide real-world testing yet. While the app is built with safety in mind (deletions go to the Recycle Bin, risk indicators, confirmations before anything happens), Jeremy Jury isn't liable for any loss or damage resulting from its use, to the fullest extent permitted by law. If you're not comfortable with beta software, wait for a stable release.
Don't use PurgeCore to violate any law, to interfere with other people's computers or data without authorization, or in any way that could damage or impair the app's own infrastructure (the website, the update service, or the GitHub repository).
PurgeCore recommends a small number of third-party products (currently NordVPN and DeleteMe) through affiliate links, clearly labeled where they appear in the app and on this site. Buying through these links may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you, this never affects what PurgeCore itself costs.
These terms may be updated occasionally as the app changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update. Continuing to use PurgeCore after a change means you accept the updated terms.
