A complete, 100% free PC cleaner for Windows, currently in beta. Nothing is ever sent anywhere, a privacy-first alternative to CCleaner and similar tools.
No commercial code-signing certificate yet, Windows may show an "unknown publisher" warning on first run. Why?
Power user? Download the portable version (no installation, no admin rights needed).
A focused set of tools, nothing you have to dig through menus to find.
Scans run in the background and can be cancelled at any time. Your computer stays responsive while it works.
Total, used, and free space per drive, plus a breakdown of storage by category, at a glance.
Filter by size, from 100 MB up to a custom threshold, and see the largest folders sorted by size.
Finds files with identical content, not just matching names, and lets you delete extra copies straight from the list. Always keeps at least one copy.
Clears cache, cookies, and history for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Bookmarks and passwords are never touched. A cookie whitelist keeps you signed in wherever you choose.
Clears your Temp folder and empties the Recycle Bin, with a clear warning that emptying the Recycle Bin is permanent.
Asks Windows to reclaim memory that's not actively in use. Shows real before/after numbers, not a promised gain.
Installed programs, largest first, with search. Uninstalls using each program's own official uninstaller, nothing here deletes files or registry entries directly.
Clears stale DNS lookups that can cause slow or failing page loads. One click, no files or registry touched.
Generates Windows' own battery diagnostic report in one click. Only shown on devices that report having a battery.
Every deletion goes to the Recycle Bin, never permanent, always with a green/orange/red risk indicator and a confirmation showing exactly what and how much.
Every scan stays on your computer. File names, paths, and contents are never sent anywhere.
No subscription, no premium tier, no feature locked behind a paywall.
A couple of products we recommend and earn a commission from if you buy, clearly labeled. This is separate from what the app itself costs you: nothing, always.

No registry cleaner is a deliberate choice, not a missing feature, see the CCleaner comparison for why. Full comparisons: vs CCleaner, vs BleachBit, vs WinDirStat.
PurgeCore reads your file system to find what's using space, and only touches what you explicitly ask it to clean.
File names, paths, and scan results never leave this computer.
No internet connection is required to scan a drive or browse results.
Nothing about how you use the app is ever collected or sent, not even anonymously.
What can be collected is documented in the app's own Privacy tab, nothing more.
Free forever. Privacy first.
PurgeCore will never ask for a subscription or lock features behind a paywall. Development is funded by a couple of clearly labeled affiliate recommendations, never by your data.
Yes, for good. There's no subscription and no premium tier, ever.
Every scan happens on your computer. PurgeCore never uploads file names, paths, or contents anywhere.
PurgeCore doesn't yet have a commercial code-signing certificate, so Windows SmartScreen may flag it as from an unknown publisher. You can verify your download with the SHA-256 checksum published alongside each release.
It can happen. Tools that touch startup entries, browser data, and system files trigger the same broad heuristics some antivirus software uses for "potentially unwanted programs", even when nothing harmful is happening. The source code is public on GitHub if you want to check for yourself, and every release ships with a SHA-256 checksum so you can confirm your download matches exactly what was built from that source. If your antivirus blocks it outright, you may need to add an exception.
Yes, the source code is publicly viewable on GitHub. The compiled app itself is free to use.
The installer (PurgeCore-Setup.exe) installs PurgeCore normally: Start Menu shortcut, entry in "Installed apps", one-click updates. The portable version (PurgeCore-Portable.zip) is a folder you unzip and run from anywhere, a USB drive, a personal folder, no installation, no admin rights needed, and nothing left behind in the registry or Program Files. Handy for working on someone else's PC or on machines where you can't install software. Same app either way, just no auto-update or shortcuts with the portable version.
PurgeCore is available now.
Download for WindowsNo commercial code-signing certificate yet, so Windows may show a brief "unknown publisher" warning on first run. The source is public on GitHub, and each release is published with a SHA-256 checksum you can verify.
